Mommy's Spotlight

My name is Taiyani Hennings and I’m a breast feeding mom. I am currently a Club Manager at the Boys & Girls Club and pursuing my Master’s in Higher Education at UWM. I am engaged to my elementary school sweetheart and can’t wait to tie the knot. We have 2 beautiful boys, Karter (3) and Kaiden (6 months). I believe breastfeeding is important because it has so many educational and healthy benefits to the child. It also makes for an awesome bonding experience with my 2 boys. Unfortunately, at about 3 months my sons develop milk protein allergies that prevented them from being able to take my milk but I found other uses for my milk. When they’re sick I use it in their bath water. My youngest also has eczema so I have rubbed it on his arms and his scalp and it has worked wonders. While I felt defeated because they couldn’t drink it, Mommy’s Milky Treats helped keep my production up so I was still able to pump and save and use the milk when I could. And the treats are delicious so that’s definitely a plus! Thanks Mommy’s Milky Treats!                       March 9, 2020

My name is Joni Gilliam and I am a breastfeeding mom. I tried to breastfeed my first child but I struggled with trying to get him to latch onto my breast. Pumping made me sore which made me  frustrated and caused me to lose hope and give up. After that I began feeding him formula. I told myself with my next child that I was going to push myself and try harder. Also I did not want to spend a ton of money on formula. God has given me a gift beyond this world and that was the opportunity to give breastfeeding another try. This February will make 1 whole year of me strictly breastfeeding my baby girl and I couldn’t be more proud of myself. I pumped while being at work on my breaks. In total I pump at least 18 ounces in an 8-12 hour work day with 3 breaks, two 15 minutes and one 20 minute break. When I’m home she’s on the boob only no bottles. If and when I do decide to have another child, I’m definitely going to do it again. It’s a great experience and it saves lots of money. I want to give a special thanks to Mommy’s Milky Treats as well for helping with my milk supply. The treats are yummy!                                                             February 5, 2020

My name is Alyandra Maneese and I'm a breastfeeding mom. Breastfeeding taught me the power of a mother’s love. There is nothing I wouldn’t do to protect my daughter. I had a cesarean birth because she was in distress. I worked hard to establish my milk supply. I worked full-time outside the home to provide for my family, and then I took time off work to help my family transition to a new way of life. My mother love is fierce, and my years of breastfeeding journey helped me own it, embrace it, and use it to make life better for my family every step of the way. I wanna thank Mommy’s Milky Treats for the advice love and warm delicious treats  for all three of my children. I breastfed my youngest baby girl for 7 months and my milk dried out. My milk began to dry out due to me getting my tubes tied. I can still say I am glad that I was able to breastfeed her for 7 months. If I didn't have the encouragement and help from Mommy's Milky Treats I probably wouldn't have continue. Just know that breastfeeding is the best feeding.      Januray 6, 2020

Hi I am Kadijah! I had my handsome baby boy on 9/29/2019 at 6lbs 13oz. I chose to breastfeed because after my research, I believe this is the best and most natural way to feed my baby. I also found out and witness breast milk having healing properties for my baby. I was motivated to breastfeed because it’s an amazing and a wonderful feeling knowing you can provide food for your baby from your body anytime. I also look at breastfeeding as a time to bond with my baby. I plan on breastfeeding up until my baby is at least one years old.                                                                       December 1, 2019

Hi! My name is Tamarra Reel, I am a mother of 3 beautiful children Kaydein, Kaylee, and Kaylahni. I work from home cake decorating. I've been doing it going on 3 years now. I decided to breast feed because I know that’s the healthiest choice. I didn’t breast feed my son and I tried with my daughter but due to me being very uneducated on breast feeding with no support I was only able to breastfeed for 2 months. At the time I developed mastitis and a blood infection that caused me to be hospitalized for a few weeks and I was forced to stop. Kaylee wasn’t able to stay in the hospital with me and I didn’t have a milk supply. My family eagerly encouraged me to put her on formula right away so I did. With my last baby I knew this time would be much easier because I do work from home so I’m able to have her with me all of the time if I have to. I did my research my entire pregnancy so I was well prepared for everything to go right this time. I plan to breastfeed until she is a year old. We’ve been going strong for 3 months now. Kaylahni was exclusively breastfed up until she was 2 months old. I do send her to daycare 1-2 days a week as of recently. I was a little worried because when I would pump I didn’t get much out and I began to worry she wasn’t getting enough and that I would have to supplement with formula. I started on Mommy’s Milky Treats and I immediately noticed a difference! I have a huge stash of breast milk for her days away  from me in just a matter of weeks!  And they taste great!

My name is Yasmeen Woodley and what made me breastfeed is wanting better for my children. Growing up breastfeeding was a major things in my family. My aunts and mom had breastfed each other children. Al,so I’ve never liked formula from the smell and the fact that I’m feeding my baby something made in a factory. I always took pride in breastfeeding my children and vowed to do it with all of my children. The fact that it makes them healthier and it’s literally the best for them and me wanting nothing but the best for them. It was no other way but to breastfeed. I’ve been doing it for 6 years now. With each child they’ve breastfed till about a year to a year in a half. I will continue to do it with all of our future children. Other mothers who couldn't breastfeed their children but wanted to do it so bad is also a part of my motivation. I’ve had mothers ask me to donate my milk. It's amazing seeing how my children are always getting so chunky off of my milk so it’s apparent their healthy is what motivates me. I always look to my kids for motivation and this is just one of many things I love doing for them. I feel it isn’t about my comfort or my say so, my boobs are meant for feeding and that’s what I must use them for. That alone motivates me not to mention as my baby feeds the connection I feel is unconditional love. Also how each of my children loved feeding holding my hands or looking into my eyes as a form of them thanking me in a way for giving them such greatness.                                                                       October 6, 2019

Hi my name is Shamaria Boston.I am the mother of a beautiful 5 month old baby girl name Callie. She's been exclusively breastfed since birth. I'm a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse, who on the daily encourages and assist mothers with breastfeeding and pumping. I do this because I want to help them provide the best milk for their babies. With that being said it's only right that I did the same thing for myself. I returned back to work after 8 weeks and worried because my freezer storage supply was low. I work three 12 hour shifts a week and was determined to continue her on breast milk. With the support from my job I was extremely lucky and was able to pump 3-4 times. I pump for work and breastfeed when I'm home with her. Within these last 5 months there were many times where I thought my daughter wasn't getting enough. I thought that my milk production was decreasing and that I would have to supplement with formula. I would send messages to Mommy's Milky Treats in the middle of the night and she would encourage me to keep going. She also suggested meal ideas to increase production and reminded me of my fluid intake. Also she even took the time to deliver some of her oatmeal chocolate chip lactation cookies. They are so delicious I can eat a 12 count in a day. A few of my family members have accidentally eaten the cookies and thought they were delicious as well. She follows up with me to ensure breastfeeding and pumping is going great. My daughter has been continuously gaining weight and a few weeks ago for the first time she had a runny nose, in which my breast milk was sufficient to treat. I love the bond we share because of breastfeeding and the thought of providing what's best for her. We are on our way to our 1 year breastfeeding goal. I got this!     September 1, 2019

My name is Kayla Rand. My baby Aaliyah is 4 months old. I chose to breastfeed because I wanted to experience the way it felt to bond with my baby. I felt that it would be the best for her because my body had been preparing itself to provide food for her. Initially I struggled to produce breast milk but I was determined to get it right and I did. Once I got the hang of it I knew that it was perfect for me and her. Breastfeeding is important to me because it is the absolute best thing for her. My milk is designed to cater to her specific needs. Also my body will adjust when she's  sick or when I am sick to keep us both healthy. That's where my motivation comes from, knowing that I am being there for her in every way. All the pain, time and energy is worth it. I will endure anything for her comfort and health. Every month that goes by I don't  say yay she's 4 months I say yay I've been breastfeeding for 4 months. Since I've ate Mommy's Milky Treats plan is to breastfeed exclusively for at least a year. These treats are definitely amazing and if you having tried them yet you are definitely missing out on these delicious lactation treats.               August 1, 2019

Hello my name is  Shyneice Sanders, I am 24 years old. I am an inspiring model with an eight month old baby boy named Atreus. Since I was a breastfed baby I knew that I would breastfeed my son as soon as he was born. My goal was to make it to six months and I was successful in doing that. As of today my new goal is to breastfeed my son for a year and it is exciting. It has been an amazing journey with breastfeeding my baby boy. The women in my family all breastfed their children and continued to work. As a working mom I had to get into the habit of pumping at work to keep my supply flowing. Also I would go home for my lunch break and feed my son to keep the  flow going through him. At one point I got sick and my supply decreased. At this point I wanted to give up but I didn't. I tried lactation cookies from Mommy's Milky Treats and my milk supply snapped right back. Now I still pump and feed my son by his demand and my supply still going strong.

I am Jasmine Collins also known as " Jazzidakid" I am 24 years old and I am an aspiring actress/dancer. I married my college sweetheart Hakim Collins and we have 2 beautiful babies a girl and boy Elise and Kai'lbin Collins. I breastfed both of my children , currently breastfeeding my youngest baby boy who I breastfed for the longest. I plan to breastfeed him until he's one years old. I made the decision to breastfeed because one I was breastfed, my mother breastfed all of her babies and I knew as a kid how beneficial it was so I wanted to do the same. Being that it is cheaper as well. I wanted to give my children the most natural nutrition as possible especially being new babies.  Breast milk is the most natural form and increases your babies immune system tremendously, I LOVE IT! I love knowing my children is always nourished just from me and nothing man made or processed! Not only that, but it helps MOMMIES LOSE WEIGHT too! I recommend ALL mommies make the decision to breastfeed it's one of the best decisions you can make as a mother for your child if you are able to. Mommy's Milky Treats has helped me along the way. They are super delicious just-a few bites of the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that I always buy and my milk will be increased within a few hours to a few days! They are super beneficial due to the oats and flax seeds in them which help increase the breast milk! So why not eat something super beneficial but also great tasting at the same time to help you produce more milk and give your child the best nourishment that they could ever have that will benefit them for the rest of their lives!                                   May 6, 2019
